BUDS (or the BUCS Dryslope Championships, to give it it's real name) is the national snowsports dry slope championships, where virtually every UK University competes in race and freestyle events. It's held in November each year, at Midlothian Snowsports Centre (Hillend) in Edinburgh, Scotland.

In November 2016, SheffSki took 28 members up to Edinburgh, around half to compete and the rest just to spectate.

We'll be releasing information about BUDS 2017 in August 2017.

Kings' Round Final

As a competitive University, we compete in all the main uni ski comps (BUDS, BUiSC, Above and Below) and have had a lot of previous success. Just this season we picked up two silver medals at Above and Below in Big Air and Slopestyle. With all this success, don't be afraid to get involved as our team rages in ability from experts to beginners. If you are new into freestyle skiing, competing in these events is a great way to meet lots of like minded people, from other uni's, and practice your skills.
